The company is headquartered in London, United Kingdom, and was founded in 1894 by William Lever, 1st Viscount Leverhulme and James Darcy Lever. Its common shares are listed on the London Stock Exchange and Euronext Amsterdam. Unilever PLC has a portfolio of over 400 brands, including well-known brands such as Axe, Ben & Jerry’s, Domestos, Hellmann’s, Knorr, OMO, Rexona, Seventh Generation, Sunsilk and Vaseline.

The company operates through three divisions; Beauty & Personal Care, Foods & Refreshment, and Home Care. The Beauty & Personal Care division provides skin care and hair care products, deodorants, and skin cleansing products. The Foods & Refreshment division offers ice cream, soups, bouillons, seasonings, mayonnaise, ketchups, and tea categories.
