With a longstanding history dating back to 1935, the company currently operates through four segments: Beef, Pork, Chicken and Prepared Foods. With a strong portfolio of brands such as Jimmy Dean, Hillshire Farm, Ball Park, Wright, State Fair, Aidells, Gallo Salame and Tyson and ibp, the company sells their products through a variety of channels such as grocery retailers, grocery wholesalers, meat distributors, warehouse club stores, military commissaries and industrial food processing companies.

The 2019 annual revenue of Tyson Foods was in excess of $40 billion USD and they had over 136,000 employees worldwide. Tyson Foods is headquartered in Springdale, Arkansas and has facilities in the United States, Canada, Europe, China, Mexico, Brazil and the Philippines. The company held the distinction of being the world’s largest chicken producer in 2019 and is the second-largest food production company in the United States. Furthermore, Tyson Foods is the largest processor and marketer of beef, pork and chicken in the world, accounting for around one-fifth of the total meat production in the United States. Other subsidiaries of the company include Butterball, Aramark, AdvancePierre Foods and Tyson branded poultry, meat and food products.
