Sanofi has numerous pharmaceutical products and vaccines under development. It has a collaborative agreement with GlaxoSmithKline to develop a Recombinant Covid-19 vaccine and a research collaboration with Stanford University School of Medicine to advance the understanding of immunology and inflammation through open scientific exchange. The company also has a collaboration and license option agreement with Prellis Biologics, Inc.

Sanofi has a wide geographical presence and commercial operations in more than 100 countries. It has a strong portfolio of products in several therapeutic areas including diabetes, cardiovascular, oncology, rare diseases, neurology, consumer healthcare and vaccines. As of 2020, Sanofi had a workforce of more than 100,000 employees. In 2020, the company reported sales amounting to over 40 billion euros.
