Raymond James Financial, Inc. is a diversified financial services company, providing private client group, capital markets, asset management, banking, and other services to individuals, corporations, and municipalities across the United States, Canada, and Europe. The company was founded in 1962, and is headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The Private Client Group segment of Raymond James Financial is a highly comprehensive offering that provides a wide range of investment services and portfolio management services, including insurance and annuity products, trustworthy mutual funds, margin loans, and securities borrowing and lending services. The Private Client Group also supports its third-party product partners with sales and marketing support, as well as distribution, accounting, and administrative services.

The Capital Markets segment of Raymond James Financial offers investment banking services in the form of equity underwriting, debt underwriting, and merger and acquisition advisory services. The Capital Markets segment also offers fixed income and equity brokerage services to its clients.

The Asset Management segment of Raymond James Financial provides comprehensive asset management services, portfolio management services, and related administrative services to both retail and institutional clients. This segment also provides administrative support services such as record-keeping.

The Raymond James Bank segment offers insured deposit accounts, commercial and industrial, commercial real estate (CRE) and CRE construction, tax-exempt, residential, securities-based, and other loans, as well as loan syndication services.

The Other segment engages in private equity investments, including various direct and third-party private equity investments, as well as investments in legacy private equity funds.

In addition to its core financial services, Raymond James Financial also works to make a difference in the communities where it operates through its philanthropy. Raymond James established the Raymond James Charitable Endowment Fund in 1998, which has awarded millions of dollars in grants and aid to thousands of organizations both locally in Florida, and around the world. In 2020, despite the pandemic, Raymond James awarded over $20 million to charities and nonprofits in an effort to bring relief to those affected.
