The Personal Lines segment provides personal auto insurance, specialty lines products including motorcycles, ATVs, RVs, watercrafts, snowmobiles, and related products. In addition, Progressive also offers policy issuance and claims adjusting services and acts as an agent to homeowners for general liability, workers’ compensation insurance and other products.
The Commercial Lines segment provides auto-related primary liability and physical damage insurance and business-related general liability and property insurance, for business purposes and other vehicles such as vans, pick-up trucks, dump trucks, tractors and trailers, straight trucks, log trucks, garbage trucks, tow trucks and wreckers, non-fleet and airport taxis and black-car services, as well as reinsurance services.
The Property segment offers residential property insurance for homeowners, other property owners and renters for primary and excess flood insurance, as well as personal umbrella insurance.
Progressive sells its products through independent insurance agencies, as well as online, on mobile devices, and over the phone. It operates in more than 39 states in the US and serves more than 15 million customers. It has ranked number one in customer satisfaction in the J.D. Power 2020 U.S. Auto Insurance Study for the 21st time in the past 23 years and has been included in Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For nine years in a row. Moreover, Progressive’s philanthropic activities have benefited many organizations and communities. Its recently announced initiative, Progressive Partners, is designed to support local communities that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and other economic downturns.
