Denison Mines Corp. is a Toronto-based uranium exploration and development company that has been in operation since 1997. The company is primarily engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, extraction, processing, selling of, and investing in uranium properties in Canada. Denison’s flagship project is the Wheeler River uranium project located in the Athabasca Basin region in northern Saskatchewan, which it owns 95% of.

The company operates two other uranium properties in the Athabasca Basin. The McClean Lake project is a joint venture with Orano Canada Inc. and the Midwest project is a joint venture with Cameco Corporation. Denison also holds interests in the Waterbury Lake, North Thelon and Mann Lake uranium projects in the Athabasca Basin.
