Churchill Downs Incorporated is a renowned racing, online wagering, and gaming entertainment company in the United States. Founded in 1875 and headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, the Company is engaged in live and historical racing, TwinSpires, and Gaming. As of December 31, 2021, Churchill Downs Incorporated owns and operates three pari-mutuel gaming entertainment venues in Kentucky, with 3,050 HRMs; TwinSpires, an online wagering platform for horse racing, sports, and iGaming; nine retail sportsbooks; and gaming in eight states across the country with 11,000 slot machines, video lottery terminals, and 200 table games.

Among other notable achievements, Churchill Downs Incorporated became one of the first companies to introduce interactive gaming. It launched the first legal live online horse racing in the US in 2002, the TwinSpires online wagering platform, and later acquired the exclusive license to offer advance deposit wagering in 28 states. Furthermore, the Company’s Derby City Gaming opened its 9,500-square-foot facility, which includes a sportsbook, live gaming tables, and HRMs in Louisville, Kentucky in 2019.
